The USA applied a great deal of force to try to change the poltical situation to something we preferred. Did you complain about that, back then?
The only thing that matters now is does the Russian Federation believe the bridge attack was terrorism? If so, Vlad will strike back accordingly with full support and the West is unable to stop it.
