The migrants that landed on Martha’s Vineyard were kicked off the island in less than 48 hours, I guess that was all the compassion the residents could find in their hearts.

I wonder what the over/under is on how long the migrants will be allowed to stay on Nantucket. My guess is the residents will have less compassion than the residents of Martha’s Vineyard.

that's odd. I thought police did not involve themselves in "civil matters", only criminal matters. What crimes did the "dreamers" commit that fall under local police jurisdiction ? Are they anticipating a crime wave ?

However: There was a misinterpretation. The police release said the plane is being chartered by a business trip for a group out of Chicago. According to the Nantucket Current, it’s actually bringing an investment company to Nantucket for “a meeting and a little R&R.” The Current reports the person who organized the flight was “dumbfounded” by all the attention.
