This is a long and interesting survey of the many kinds of effects the huge influx of unhappy Russians is, will, or may have in the various Stan countries. Also for Georgia, Armenia, etc. Russia is trying to gain volunteers in these countries, and some rulers are concerned about having trained soldiers returning with those skills.

Traditionally in many countries, voluntarily serving in another nation's military resulted in a forfeiture of citizenship.
