Patton had some choice words for Russians and Soviets in particular (as you are likely well aware). I have no love for Ukraine’s leader or his backers, but it’s hard to conjure up much trust for Putin.

Not only is Ukraine becoming de-militarized, NATO countries and we are being depleted of vital weaponry. In our case, it is irresponsible that we have weakened our defenses and spent this much money on a proxy war that has absolutely nothing to do with our national interest.
This war is all being fought for our political elite and oligarchs like George Soros, who have made millions in Ukraine.
Ukraine doesn't come close to resembling a democracy or free country. If we really cared about any of that, we'd be helping the freedom fighters in Iran. This war is about defending "the liberal word order" and all the perks it gives or politicians and oligarchs.
He could save face (and maybe his head) if he retires. Even Kaiser Wilhelm was allowed to retire.
I hear Putin’s got a nice dacha somewhere in Russia.
Don’t know the actual status of his health and it doesn’t matter. He just needs a good pretext to exit the stage.

All they’ve done is make themselves look extremely weak and corrupt. Maybe they should be beefing up their eastern borders. I’m pretty sure China is looking for more resources, and a weakened Russia may be too good to pass on.
The last I looked it was Ukraine liberating its territory and Russia losing its invasion conquests, n’est-pas? Thus, according to your own criteria, the war has now shifted to Ukraine’s advantage,

Good try, but this was an assembly of domestic RUSSIAN regional separatists, not Western governments. No doubt, however, you will claim that it is just a front for the real intentions of the West.
