Black Chicagoans say they are skeptical that Chicago’s violent crime problem will be addressed based on votes they cast this fall or next year, when Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot is up for re-election.
Most of them will not make the connection between the way they vote and the fact that the crime problem will not be seriously addressed.
