A gunman killed dozens, mostly children, in a mass shooting that began at a child development facility in the Nong Bua Lamphu province of northeastern Thailand on Thursday, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP). The attacker then fatally shot himself and his wife and child. It's the deadliest mass shooting in the Southeast Asian nation ever carried out by a lone perpetrator, according to The New York Times.

True, but there has been acts of Islamic terrorism in Thailand over the years.
