Some Helpful Ideas For Biden’s Impeachment
The Federalist ^ | October 3, 2022 | David Harsanyi

Posted on 10/05/2022 7:40:10 AM PDT by Twotone

Over at MSNBC, Steve Benen contends that Republicans, poised to take back the House next year, keep promising to impeach Joe Biden but “haven’t quite worked out” why. As a big fan of impeachments and congressional investigations, I may have some helpful ideas.

In his conduct while president of the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. has shown a habitual contempt for the rule of law, on numerous occasions willfully violating his constitutional oath by corrupting and manipulating the power of the executive branch.

Take the eviction moratorium. The Supreme Court explicitly ruled that the plan “exceeded … existing statutory authority.” Biden even conceded that the “bulk of the constitutional scholarship says that it’s not likely to pass constitutional muster.” And yet, knowing all this, the president decreed it so, openly ignoring the Constitution, admitting to cynically exploiting the slow pace of judicial branch rulings “to keep this going for a month, at least — I hope longer.”

Biden again knowingly subverted the will of Congress when he transferred loan payments for millions of affluent students to taxpayers in hopes of affecting the 2022 midterms. The president does not possess the statutory power to “forgive” or “cancel” loans. Just ask congressional leaders like Nancy Pelosi, who correctly noted that “[p]eople think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness — he does not.” He did it anyway. Unilaterally. The president used the emergency powers found in the HEROES Act, passed after 9/11 to help U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, to justify his decree. We know that Biden cynically exploited the bill, because, by his own recent admission on “60 Minutes,” he concedes there is no emergency.

“ Impeaching Biden is a waste of time and counter-productive.

It’s a waste of time because you’ll never get the Senate to convict.
It’s counter-productive since it will only solidify his remaining support and because removing Biden from office would place Harris in as President.”

Biden is in no danger of being impeached. The only reason that President Trump was Impeached was that the Republicans wanted him gone worse than the Democrats. In the election of 2020 they[ the Republicans] got their wish. What a paradise the United States have been without him [President Trump]. And things are only to get better. Winter is coming and people will have to take out another mortgage to pay their heating bill. But at least President Trump is gone. That alone will make freezing to death or starving to death worth it.

I’d start by going after Biden’s cabinet secretaries. Mayorkas and Garland first. Followed by Granholm. Biden gets no replacements. Just whittle his government down to “acting” this or that.

The big question is how to rid this country of the Obozo, Soros and their cabal of criminals in DC.

1. Wait until Nanzi is no longer Speaker.
2. Impeach the Ho.
3. Wait until Sniffer assumes room temperature.

You’re correct, and the Senate vote to convict Clinton (45 to convict) was higher than it would be for Brandon.

Possibly impeachment could be used to enlighten the public about all the Biden scandals that have been covered up by the media...but that would require some fortitude by the Republicans so I wouldn't count on that.

If the Democrats decide that both Biden and Kamala are sure losers in 2024, and if they lose both houses of Congress in the November 2022 election, they could try to force Biden to retire before January 2023 and force Kamala to pick a Democrat governor or senator who appears moderate (not that he or she really is moderate, but just someone who can be marketed as such) as the new VP, then after a bit find a way to get Kamala to resign.

After Jan. 2023 they may be limited in who could be picked as the new VP if they don't control both houses of Congress, since the new person has to get a majority vote of approval in both houses.

Not a waste of time!! Of course it won’t result in his removal. So what!! Impeach him three times so now Biden can be the record holder. Dim’s started this cycle. Now they can enjoy the same.

I'm sure they'll content themselves with knowing there won't be any more mean Tweets.

Yes, I'm sure the GOP Senate will get right on it...

Lindsey Graham.

He is a venomous snake if ever there was one.

He knew about Biden and still ran cover.

Be that as it may, you still need 67 votes in the Senate for removal. There are 67 GOPers there, let alone reliable GOPers. You’ll need “honest’ democrats. HA!

The public will view a House impeachment as a political PR stunt.

If GOPers think they can use the Senate trial as a leverage against Senate Rat re-elections in 2024. I think they’re too incompetent in political PR to do that.

Thew John Q. Public will view it as political tit-for-tat, a waste of time & money!
