I guess it was as close as he could get to outsourcing it all to India.
LOL —> “It’s regrettable that the company needed the tax payer funds to make it happen.”
No kidding.
The more Fabs we have in the united states the happier i am.
Dont care how or who has made it happen
I agree. I’ll bet the tax breaks are nothing compared to the money we’ve sent out of the country courtesy of the free traitors.
I have no idea what a fab is
Micron is getting tax breaks for building a fab in New York. The custodians and cleaning staff will be New Yorkers. The engineers and mangers will imported Hindu Chimps.
What does this even mean?
Fabrication plant. They make chips.
Forget the politics, everyone else will in about three days. The main thing is returning fab capacity to Conus.
Perhaps many will leave Idaho to go there. We can hope, but they are cheap bastards.
Here a good vid that discusses the history of TSMC, the preeminent player in this space. Gets into strategic issues involving China, Taiwan, US.

Worth the 30m.
Is Micron still part of the Simplot empire?
And then they upped the taxes...
You have to wonder, why New York state?
Argueably one of the most Single party
politically Eff’ed up states in the USA!
I wish these companies would go back to supply line and
local talent issues as opposed to making all business decisions based on politics.
Maybe they’d make more more money for shareholders.
Gee, then maybe they should say that instead of using internal terminology
Why NY?
Perhaps they will compete with Corning for the Silica.
Don’t be surprised if Musk’s lightbulb lights up and voila...a Fab in Texas would make more sense.
