like everything it does, California didn’t really “legalize” or make anything “free-market.” It allowed some highly-regulated, highly-taxed actors to play in a government-constructed market. And then “progressive” California is surprised its not working as they planned

One thing people don't seem to compute is, organized crime does not walk away from a revenue stream - they'll appropriate it one way or another. All this monkey motion by the government does not diminish them, just makes them change tactics.
