Donald Trump on Monday objected to a Justice Department request for an expedited ruling in the special master case involving documents seized by the FBI in an August search of the former president's Florida home.
"The government has not and cannot possibly articulate any real risk of loss or harm resulting from a more deliberative process," Trump's lawyers wrote in a filing in the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
The U.S. Justice Department on Friday moved to expedite its appeal of an order appointing a special master to review records the FBI seized from Trump's Florida estate.

Other than politics.
October Surprise coming right up!
The omission of that phrase from the filing is "the elephant in the room," that everyone sees and no one will say out loud, or put in print.
And January the new congress will be in session. Hopefully GOP on both sides.

His lawyers should keep this tied up until he dies or a Republican can pardon him for whatever made up crap libs think they have on him
Well, he will be able to Pardon himself coming January 21, 2024 when he wins the election and is sitting in the POTUS chair.
On Jan 2024 the next inauguration will be a year away, right?
Assuming things run “normally” the next POTUS election is November 5, 2024.
The last January 6 hearing and the aftermath of Hurricane Ian are their “October surprises.”
As for the last Jan 6th hearing in October, that's not going to change anyone's mind and given the Mar a Lago raid had a very negative impact on the Dem's, I think their fate was sealed with the latest inflation reports and the continued pain we're all feeling at the gas pump and the grocery store.
