Feeling blessed to have electricity and structurally intact home. Large swath of neighborhoods two blocks away without power. The cleanup continues here. Further south, search and rescue ongoing.

Thanks for the storm thread, which I checked often. I first saw your post about being in the top floor of a hotel and thought, “Oh, oh.” I know the building are up to code to withstand the wind, but I honestly believed the wind sustained for such an unbelievably long time was uncharted territory... Next thing I read was that you were home and some really nice trees were down. Whew!
