My chainsaw needs are suburban and modest, so I have an electric one. Plug in models. A regular one and one mounted on a pole for pruning frees. AKA a pole saw. I have two electric two pole saws with different bar lengths.
I have electric chain saws, one regular one,uses a cord, and one 9’ pole saw.
They are great. The pole saw uses a battery.
Same battery works in a circular saw, sabre saw, screw driver and a flashlight
I have several batteries and 2 charging bases.
It’s all l need.

Foolish, CA grid can’t handle all electric furnaces in the whole state.
