I have heard the opinion, that I do not disagree with, that the whole Afghanistan withdrawal debacle was obama’s way of arming his muslim compatriots with the latest in US military technology.

I had not heard that before. As they say food for thought.

You just don’t abandon that much military equipment for any other reason I can think of.
