Such a change would make it permanently illegal to sell fentanyl-related substances. Sounds dumb on it's own. It is used both under direct medical care and as a prescription drug. The problem isn't with an anesthesiologist using it or with a cancer patient getting a precisely dosed patch. It's from some Mexican cartel selling random concentrations of it, often mixed with or replacing other drugs.
Making it a schedule I drug will affect CVS, not Juan selling it out of his trunk.
