A small number of volunteers, maybe former military who don't have anything better to do, may come from anywhere.

But we're not talking about just a few volunteers from Belarus. We're talking about the average Belarusian soldier who simply signed up to defend his country being ordered to invade Ukraine. And it's a very fair question to ask why they would want to invade a next-door neighbor with whom they've never had any issues. It would be like us invading Canada.
