I provided my ideas of who gains some benefits. Israel gets back at Putin for his support of Assad and Iran. They sting the EU for years of pro Pali policies and they stand to make a great deal of money selling their NG to the EU.
With the pipeline out of service Putin loses the ability to force an end to sanctions. While engaged in Ukraine and suffering with sanctions Putin loses influence in Syria and Iran. And turning their NG into LNG Israel makes a great deal of Euros selling it to energy strapped EU. Do these mean I’m right? Of course not. But it provides another suspect.
