If the current track is accurate and the storm comes in at Tampa Bay with 8-10’ surge, it will be catastrophic for Tampa. Anyone who has traversed Bayshore Blvd. knows what I’m talking about.

Lets just pray that all the barges are either tied up well or taken away also.

The Tampa Bay area is going to have the worst storm in over 100 years. If the eye is in Tampa Bay or north of the bay, there will be a huge storm surge. Water will be pushed in with no real outlet. Anyone near there should get out. This isn’t a typical hurricane. I’m familiar with that area.

Very true. Used to live in Tampa and my boss lived on Bayshore. Floods all the time just when we got a heavy rain, let alone a hurricane!

We vacation at Anna Maria Island, I hope it can ride out the storm well.
