#Denmark’s maritime traffic agency reported a gas leak in the #Baltic Sea southeast of the Danish island of Bornholm on Monday near the route of the #NordStream 2 pipeline.

Theoretically. If there’s enough gas perking to the surface a ship could — again THEORETICALLY — lose buoyancy and sink. It’s like trying to float an object in beer foam.
But the leak is over 70m down (240 ft). Depressurizing that pipeline from that depth probably wouldn’t cause that kind of an affect at the surface.
