I haven’t seen recent population estimates, but I had seen an estimate for Chicago, which showed that the black population of Chicago had declined by about 10% since 2010.
Decent black folks don’t want to live in such a hell hole. They move away. They don’t want to live in a place with rampant crime , gang violence, and God knows what happening in their streets.

The irony is that not long after they move away, that “...rampant crime, gang violence, and God knows what...” just seems to follow them; thus, their new digs become just like their old digs. It has always been that way. Black crime and violence will never stop unless blacks stop it themselves; but, that just isn’t happening, and it isn’t going to happen; because if anyone other than blacks tried to stop it, they’d immediately be called racists, and even the anti-crime blacks will jump on that racist band wagon. I’m in my 70s, and this pattern has existed throughout my entire life.
That's always been the case. Black folk, like members of any ethnic group, who assimilate into the dominant, successful culture tend to be successful themselves.
