Mobilizing armies in fresh attacks as the Russian winter moves in.

What could go wrong.

Ukraine alone seems to be a match for the military force of the RF. Or is Kirill going to perform the miracle of turning 300,000 warm bodies into well trained and well equipped soldiers overnight?

Putin simply doesn't have Stalin's ability to coerce a Soviet-sized army.

That I did not know.
I’ve never seen many pictures of the French military in comparison to the British military.

:-)

Check out this substack post... The Full $16Bn List of What Biden Has Sent Ukraine...
...and pictures of it.

I would have just posted it here but it has copyright protection, but it will blow your mind how much has been sent to Ukraine. Way more than we have ever been told.

I realize most freepers are not getting it yet, but Ukraine is at the end of the line. This recent Russian escalation has put an end to NATO’s interest in this adventure. They are clearly in a panic. EU’s Borrell...”we need to find a diplomatic solution that is satisfactory to all.” Unfortunately, there isn’t going to be one.

It is frightening that someone from a US War College could write such nonsense. The “powerful” French army? Sending Leopard tanks? Does anyone realize that if the Germans had sent 1,000 Leopards to Zelensky on February 24th, Ukrainian crews would not be trained to basic competence until about March 1 next year? Training Ukrainian mechanics for maintenance and repair could take longer, and just getting the rest of the logistics in place to support them would take at least that long. Moreover, Western armor isn’t well designed for the muddy season in Ukraine. There’s a lot more nonsense in the article, which makes me wonder who the hell is “educating” our officer corps.

There will be a diplomatic “solution” when the RF army is on the Dnieper and has swept south thorugh Odessa to Transnistria. The RF does need easily defendable borders, and the Dnieper would be excellent. Zaluzhny really needs to reflect on what Zelensky and NATO are doing to Ukraine and the UFA.

This is pure hogwash. We all know Ukraine is winning and that Russia just has broken down stuff and vodkaed up drunks left. Right?

I keep wondering what Putin has in mind for Viktor Medvedchuk (former Head of the Presidential Administration in Ukraine.) He bought him back from Zelensky at a very high price...AZOV commanders freedom. And then had him sent to Moscow.

Yes, Putin is not likely to have any interest in annexing any non-Russian speaking territory, but arranging who is in control of the rump state of Ukraine will go a long way to peaceful neighbors.

From what I’ve read, the Brits would be unable to fight the Falklands War again. Completely outside their 80s capability.

POLAND is good—they could take Russia on. Turkey could beat Russia now. Italy might join with Russia as would Serbia and maybe Hungary. A general war is Not Good.

It’s a very fluid situation. I would like to see the RF on the offensive because that seems to be the only way to wrap this up and stop the killing.

As for the “rump state”, I wonder just how much will be left. If Zelensky’s regime collapses, the Poles, Hungarians, and Romanians will go after parts in the west of Ukraine.

Why would Italy join Russia and fight against the United States and NATO?

Italy is breaking with EU—They want Russian Oil and gas. EU is tottering on her last legs. The future looks uncertain.

Why am I reminded of a newspaper headline from 1914 that read, “Kaiser Wilhelm calls for full mobilization for Germany”?

France has been pro Russia since the late 1890s.

As long as Russia doesn’t go west of the Oder, France don’t care

If you told me in the last week of February and first 2 weeks of March that Ukraine was doomed, I would agree.

But since then, no.

They have proven themselves to be not doomed

Looking at Russian performance in Ukraine it is clear that, bar nuclear weapons, Russia is not the second most powerful military in the world.

They would be behind the USA, UK, France, China, India, Italy and possibly Turkey.

EU wasn’t the subject, your post and my post were about the military, and their NATO forces, and you thinking they would turn against the U.S and NATO and fight for Russia.

That doesn’t make any sense.
