A begging for help for Ukraine and for France and Germany to step up with more aid.
The News Summary up on my blog tonight with Ukraine and other matters in it...

You were doing so well and then you had to bring up your wretched blog.
My limited knowledge of European militaries would make me think France is the one the Russians would be concerned about. The Germans have more or less disarmed. I think France is the strongest military in Europe.
Only Britain has kept enough of a military to engage in a war.
That’s the one of the costs of socialism, you can’t maintain an army.
Russia is not in Europe anymore?
I “love Ukraine” like a hole in the head.

‼️🇩🇪🇺🇦Germany does not want to send tanks to Ukraine, because. this could be a dangerous step in the development of the conflict, - German Chancellor
“This is a very dangerous war,” Olaf Scholz said, answering the question of the New York Times, why Berlin does not send tanks to Ukraine, which Kiev insistently asks for. “We support Ukraine. We do it in a way that does not lead to an escalation, to a war between NATO and Russia, because that would be a disaster,” he explained.

Not Western Europe. I should have been more.precise.
“Ukraine is doomed. Ukraine needs a NATO army/corps headquarters with four to six divisions and all the support structure, to include a tactical air force, and they’re not getting any of that.”

The New Atlas: ⚔️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Out of T-72s - NATO Begins Sending 1940-era T-55s
I have seen Western commentators mockingly joke about the inevitability of Russia sending T-55s - which first went into service in the 1940s - to fight in Ukraine.
The irony is that it is now NATO sending T-55s to Ukraine.
Slovenia is reportedly sending 28 T-55s (”modernized” in the 1990s) to Ukraine.
28 tanks is meager, Ukraine has lost more in a single day to Russian firepower.

Russia is in Europe, and its military easily eclipses France’s in size, technology, and power. Besides, even when France has had a large military, e.g. WW I and WW II, it hasn’t fought well. Moreover, despite all the money spent, the Europeans, whether considered as individual countries or collectively as “NATO”, do not have a military force that would be a match for the RF.
That’s about the size of it. The price they pay, though, is that Brussels does our bidding. It’s a toxic relationship all around.
Cathi, You just don’t understand. The T 55 is the new wunderwaffe! When the Russian army sees T 55s lumbering toward them the Russian soldiers will die laughing. Only a regime led by a comedian could come up with such brilliant idea.
Isn’t US aid measured in the LNG shipped this winter to warm their cold hearts? And what, pray tell, is the EURO contribution to the war effort?
Isn’t it time for those romantic folks in lederhosen and culots to wean themselves from the dehydrated Yankee tit and learn to fend for themselves? Are they waiting for that breathless pillow talk that softly groans:”Achtung Panzer!”
Assuming Ukraine gets into the EU at some point, the eastern bloc including Poland, the Baltics, Slovakia, Czechia, Slovenia, and probably Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria will be a powerful counterweight to Franco-German hegemony.
It is pretty poor but I gave it a click just because you complained about it. Normally I just scroll by errant links, especially video links.
The Brit military is smaller, and not nearly as well equipped as the French Army. France is the powerhouse of Europe.
