It’s odd that a big goon who looks like an inmate and wants to empty the prisons has the women’s vote. As always, they accuse their opponents of being what they are — “extremists”

A big reason voters are drawn to a candidate like Fetterman is that he’s got the mindset of an everyday person and doesn’t carry the look of a typical politician. Rosalyn Metzger, who was also at the rally, thinks these characteristics are endearing to people in the state. “I think it appeals to the middle of Pennsylvania,” she says. “He’s the right person for the Senate for sure, and we can’t run the risk of having an EXTREMIST in the Senate instead of Fetterman.”

As a life-long "middle Pennsylvania"-ian, I could not disagree more. Fetterman is appalling, both in terms of his positions on issues and in appearance. My husband and I both had the same "omg no" reaction when we first became aware of him. I wonder what mental gymnastics people have to go through to convince themselves he's any of the things presented here.
