The article says a civil suit was dismissed. The feds are using an “Access to Abortion Clinics” law to charge the Pro-Life guy, Mark Houck, with pushing a pro-abortion activist (who was supposedly yelling obscenities at Houck’s 12-year old son and wouldn’t stop when asked repeatedly). The jerk fell down.

At most, this sounds like a simply assault. The lawsuit likely collapsed because the “victim” asked for it, did a flop, and wasn’t actually injured. The connection to the federal statute is tenuous, especially after the recent SCOTUS ruling that zapped any claim to a right to abortion via the US Constitution, and returned the issue to the States. Then one wonders why 25-30 armed agents were required, versus contacting the guy’s lawyer to arrange a voluntary surrender. If the FBI has funds to waste like this, it’s time to decimate the budget.

Bullies always need an overwhelming advantage to feel brave. With Houck's magical pushing powers he would probably have pushed away a dozen or so agents who would then fall down. Better to have two dozen armed with automatic weapons.

It was done to scare the citizenry - because the feebs in power are terrified that they’ll have to answer for their actions.
