The teacher should apologize for his comments of “go back where you came from”, but the student should apologize to America for being a total anti-American asshole.
Reinstate the teacher and leave the pendajo to whatever comes down the like.
My oldest son refused to say the pledge of allegiance during Obama’s second term. He would not affirm his commitment to a country stupid enough to elect a Marxist stooge twice and was researching alternate countries to live in when he grew uo. He was already becoming a quintessential “clinging to God and guns” young man.
The Thursday after Trump was elected (we stayed home Wednesday to celebrate), he lerched to his feet, put his hand over his heart, and pledged allegiance loud and proud. God has blessed him with a deep, booming voice, so it carried over the whole room.
When the kid in the seat next to him asked why he was pledging so loudly, he replied, “I’m finally proud of my country again.”
I’m not saying this is always the case, but there are times when not saying the pledge is an act of resistance against a hostile state.
I am not fond of the POA myself. It appears to be a sort of state worship rite not a pledge to the country. The nation and the country are two different things and the nation is becoming the enemy of our country.
