I think it was Reuters, but it was some Western network, actually had reporters in Moscow (rather than in the State Department). They went through funeral announcements and other records in Russia and estimated the number of Russians dead at 6,200, which is right in line with Putin’s number of a bit over 5,800.
Also, of course, considering how the war’s been fought (saturation shelling, air supremacy, etc.), it should be obvious that Ukrainian deaths far exceed Russian deaths.
Bottom line, as always, that ALL CLAIMS by the West are simply for getting countries to dump more money into the war, mainly from US.
RuZZia is the enemy of all mankind.

Stalingrad was 80 years ago. Why do people think today’s Russians see Ukraine as the existential threat that was Hitler’s Germany. This is a generation who did not grow up with Ukraine as part of Russia.
The Stalinist comparisons sound nice, but they are devoid of any factual basis.

They were fighting, for them, an existential war. Much like the Ukrainians are doing now. One tends to be more committed when one is fighting to defend one’s country, home, and family.

Who knows how this war will end, but one thing is for certain, hundreds of thousands have died for a meaningless war.
So Ukrainians right to exist doesn’t have meaning? Interesting. The left says much the same about us that Putin’s Russia says about Ukraine. The comparisons just draw themselves here.

With all the doom about a Russia, the country should have collapsed months ago. But what do you know, it’s still here. Wonder if all this doom is being pushed by wishful thinkers or perhaps manipulators.
