Vladimir Putin's chaotic conscription of the Russian male population continues as more videos emerge of drunken insubordination and brawling by those being drafted into the Ukrainian meatgrinder.
Just days after the Russian dictator announced a partial mobilisation, the true reality of Putin's vicious war in the Donbas is evidently coming home to the desperate citizens of Russia, as thousands have received their call up orders.
Videos show reluctant conscripts at recruitment offices and staging points hitting the bottle and drinking themselves senseless as military commanders try to coral them into order before boarding buses and planes.

During Vietnam, once one had a lottery number, one would have a sense of how soon they would be called up. They would have time to arrange their affairs and say goodby to family. They would have time to appeal as Consciencious Objectors or prove some form of medical disability.
These Russians are being told the same day of the announced mobilization that they have 4 hours to pack their bags and report to a recruitment or military controlled location. Some are being dragged away from their place of work. No wonder they are furious and acting out with anger or booze.
Boy the UK Daily Mail must be paid by the click. They sure come with some interesting propaganda that people here gobble in.
When the Russians came into Berlin in 1945, my grandmother had 2 sisters in their 70s living there together. One was a dentist the other a gynecologist. The doctor knew what was happening to women in Berlin. They killed themselves.
These people have lost their collective minds and believe whatever fairytale western media gives them so they can bolster their own pre-existing views
What is going on in Ukraine right now is almost a complete opposite of all of this propaganda
Bhakmet has almost fallen
The Referendums whatever you may think of them will make these areas Russian
And Russia is mobilizing troops to commit to something more than limited war as we speak and winter is coming and Ukraine is in financial trouble big time
They have suffered heavy losses in these offensive and counters
Support for Putin and the war in Russia is in the 80% according to foreign polls
Ukraine needs to ignore the west and make a deal while they can
Western meddling is going to prove to make bad worse
Same DNA.
There are many good books about the fall of Berlin in 1945. Antony Beevor’s book and Anthony Read’s book and Cornelius Ryan’s book are all recommended.
It's not surprising Russia is in collapse. It's population is only around 145 million people and sanctions are affecting them. And it's military does suck. They've apparently have little or no concept of integrated arms use , supply and logistics and secure communication. Throwing in the old and young, sick and illiterate means desperation. Vlad needs to cut and run.
I’ve seen many WW2 photos of what the Russians would do to the women. We should have let Patton mangle those monsters. Because we didn’t, Russia even till this day still rapes and tortures.
The twitter user writes for a German magazine and with a name like Sergei he's likely not a native English speaker.
As for the Mosin-Nagant, its a beautiful weapon and highly collectible...I wish I had one.
Yes it is!
In fairness, some of that rabble were Ukrainians.
But they did summarily hang lots of Nazis from lampposts.
A lot more Ukrainians percentage-wise died at the hands of the Nazis than ethnic Russians.
They overran Ukraine, and were greeted as liberators. Then they noticed that they were still being enslaved, murdered and robbed just as bad if not worse by the Nazis. The Russians weren’t taken in at all, I think. They had an existing nation and pride in it, while the Ukrainians had a centuries-old yearning for nationhood, and were taken in by yet another false “liberator”. Tragic people. This is the latest chapter, but they might just win.
Anyone who has studied history and is the least bit intellectually honest can see what is going on here: more banditry and imperialism in the finest Russian tradition.
Markovsky? That old Soviet? HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA *spit*
I beleve I read this book in the 1960s. I found out about my greataunts deaths at a later time.
“For eight weeks in 1945, as Berlin fell to the Russian army, a young woman kept a daily record of life in her apartment building and among its residents. “With bald honesty and brutal lyricism” (Elle), the anonymous author depicts her fellow Berliners in all their humanity, as well as their cravenness, corrupted first by hunger and then by the Russians. “Spare and unpredictable, minutely observed and utterly free of self-pity” (The Plain Dealer, Cleveland), A Woman in Berlin tells of the complex relationship between civilians and an occupying army and the shameful indignities to which women in a conquered city are always subject—the mass rape suffered by all, regardless of age or infirmity.
A Woman in Berlin stands as “one of the essential books for understanding war and life” (A. S. Byatt, author of Possession).” [I remember the writer partially protected herself by developing a liaison with a not viscious Russian officer.]
Another piece of family history I learned was about other more distant relatives who successfully escaped from East Prussian area by crossing the Baltic in winter in a horse and sled. This was a family group with women and children. Many broke through the ice and died trying to escape the Russians.
Except when you do it, right? lofl
The Putin lovers are starting to sound pretty shrill these days.
“ Boy are they taking their time, to minimize civilian losses.”
Only the kindest carpet bombing. Because they really care.
Are you posting from Mother Russia?
Probably not. I’m sure you’d draw the line at conscription.
