Masters Gets More Support After McConnell Dumps Opportunity To Help Pick Up Arizona Senate Seat

George Landrith, the president of the super PAC, told The Federalist the ads were launched two weeks ago in response to McConnell’s decision to gut resources from one of the most competitive races this election cycle. In the last week of August, McConnell’s super PAC to reclaim the Senate majority, the Senate Leadership Fund, canceled nearly $8 million worth of ad buys set to boost Masters. The week prior, McConnell undermined Republicans in tight contests by complaining on Fox News that voters nominated poor candidates.

“We went in right after he pulled out,” Landrith said. “One, [Masters] can win, and two, he’s a fine candidate because he’s going to stand up for the things people believe in.”

During the Arizona Republican Senate primary, the venture capitalist candidate pledged not to support McConnell, now 80, for another term in GOP leadership.

On Wednesday, Axios revealed McConnell would be slashing an additional $10 million from the Arizona Senate race just more than a month from Election Day.

“The cancellations mean that the GOP’s leading super PAC won’t be spending any money in Arizona, one of the most closely watched Senate races in the country,” Axios reported, adding that McConnell’s allies are “confident other outside conservative groups will make up much of the difference.”

The $7.5 million tallied from outside groups compiled by Axios, however, remains far short of the $18 million now stricken from Republicans’ effort to pick up a vulnerable Senate seat from a state which, before Kelly, had not been represented by two Democrat senators since 1953.

But PLENTY of money for Murkowski.

Because Murkowski will vote for McConnell.

Further confirmation that McConnellIdiot is RINO cancer and needs to seriously retire, like yesterday.

The Swamp is getting nervous and is squeezing McConnell to do something...anything.

More confirmation that McConnell is for McConnell and that is about it. The party, and especially the country, be damned.

The more RINOs we purge, the weaker their grip on power becomes. Right now they control the purse strings for the Republican party. But, as we take more of them out and put more MAGA candidates in, the more the RINO’s hold becomes tenuous.....the more they will have to start looking to make deals with MAGA office holders.....the more they will suddenly grow a spine and start doing the things they promise the voters they will do - lest they become the next target to be primaried out.

If the party had REAL leadership, the Turtle would be tossed from its ranks and forced to call himself an “Independent”.

Yeah; time for the old RINO to retire. He’s no good to the republican party any longer.

He did some good in getting judges installed but that was his last good thing he did.

We need someone like Jordon or Rand in that position now.

That idiot John Warner in Virginia not only endorsed the leftist Dem Mark Warner for reeelction, he actually made a commercial for him against the R who came within a point of defeating him. No wonder on the Nixon tapes that when questioned over the appointment of some mediocre person as Navy Secretary responded, “Oh, any a****** can do that job - we had John Warner doing it”.

***PLENTY of money for Murkowski. Because Murkowski will vote for McConnell***

McConnell's wife is Chinese and into China for her global shipping company to the tune of millions.

McConnell voluntarily surrendered the Senate without a fight in 2020; he doesn't want it back in 2023... a true low life! I told Ted Cruz's campaign that I would contribute but it would be a waste of money if the GOP reelects McConnell as their leader. They seemed stunned.

Masters can win, and I believe will win, an election that has truly great significance. Generally, it appears the Turtle really does not want Republicans to take charge of the Senate.

it appears the Turtle really does not want Republicans to take charge of the Senate.

Right on two levels: McConnell does not want his control of the Senate, or even of the rump portion of the Senate controlled by his gang, jeopardized by a candidate who has vowed not to vote for McConnell as leader. McConnell is a lackey of the Chinese who certainly do not want Trump- like Republicans taking over the Senate.

McConnell's power comes not from constituent appeal nor from his legislative record but from the money he can dole out (or in this case, hold out) to senatorial candidates. This money does not come from the grassroots but from those big businesses doing business in China.

Always follow the money.

He doesn’t want investigation into Jan 6th, Hunter/Biden, which Repubs have said if they win, they will investigate.

McConnell is compromised in so many ways, especially with China.

IF, and I say IF, the GOP can retake leadership of the Senate, the Senate GOP caucus has to remove McConnel as its leader.
