My wife is pretty into current events, but not politics as much. That kind of bawdiness doesn’t phase her. Probably hanging around with my Army and Marine buddies tempered her.
It always amazes me how a Republican can tell a dirty joke and that’s the red line but a Democrat can actually do it (over and over again) and totally get a pass. Biden, Clinton, Kennedy, Kennedy, Kennedy, and Kennedy come immediately to mind.
