Ten people were wounded in shootings across Chicago Thursday.
Two people were shot in the Douglas neighborhood on the South Side. They were standing on the sidewalk in the 3500 block of South Indiana Avenue about 12:10 a.m. when they were struck by gunfire, Chicago police said.
A 16-year-old boy was shot early Thursday in Back of the Yards on the South Side. The teen was walking in the 4800 block of South Honore Street when he was shot in the left side of his face about 2:20 a.m., police said.
Thursday afternoon, four people were shot on a street in Douglas on the South Side. A person with a handgun approached them and began shooting about 3:15 p.m. as the group stood near the 200 block of East 35th Street, police said.

Midnight basketball... on a school night?
Nothing good happens on city streets after midnight. My neighbor’s white kids would climb out of their bedroom window to pall around with their three black basketball team mates. Because their dad had screwed the window shut they were not with the other kids when one of them killed another black over a drug deal. As this is Florida all three went to prison as adults.

35th and Indiana is a block or two off the campus of the Illinois Institute of Technology, and easy walking distance to the ball park where the White Sox play. Still not the place to be at 1 in the morning, but with Groot in charge, more and more of the city (including downtown) is turning into the Wild West.

I watched a video in Heyjackass.com. Guy gets blasted then several women descend on the body like cockroaches, pretty sure they were picking his pockets, I doubt they were the Sisters of Mercy . Several took pictures of the victim.
