Sounds exactly like Hurricane Charley. From 110 to 145 MPH in 3 hours before landfall. We can only hope that this storm is as tiny as Charley.

Here's the real problem: the water temps... about as high as I can recall seeing (since we've haven't had anything move through the Gulf to move the heat outta there this Summer, of course):
