What an absolute joke of a vote. BTW for what it is worth, google either Donetsk or Luhansk so-called People's Republics (flags, banners, what not) and all you get are frikkkin Red hammers and sickles. Ah, the good old days

This was good from conservative London Daily Mail today too: "Desperate Russian wives threaten to break their husbands' BONES so they are unfit to join war as thousands of men scramble to flee country with airports crammed and huge traffic jams after conscripts are given 'four hours to pack and leave'

Your diversion to bringing up an unrelated topic is noted, and funny you bring that first part up given you say nothing about this:

Salon

“Ukraine’s neo-Nazi Svoboda Party and its founders, Oleh Tyahnybok and Andriy Parubiy, played leading roles in the U.S-backed coup in February 2014. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and U.S. ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt mentioned Tyahnybok as one of the leaders they were working with in their infamous leaked phone call before the coup, even as they tried to exclude him from an official position in the post-coup government.

...it was Yarosh who took to the stage in the Maidan and rejected the Feb. 21, 2014 agreement negotiated by the French, German and Polish foreign ministers, under which President Viktor Yanukovych and opposition political leaders agreed to hold new elections later that year. Instead, Yarosh and Right Sector refused to disarm and led the climactic march on Parliament that overthrew the government.

... 2014, Nuland and the State Department got their favorite, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, installed as prime minister of the post-coup government.”

And you’ll smear all of the soon to be break away Republics as being commie when you have no evidence of what percentage are commie and say nothing about Nazis being rife within the Zelensky army and being responsible for the overthrow of a legitimate govt in Ukraine voted in legally by the people?

Wow, you’re also a hypocrite.

Lots here. Oh well...

Wow.

Do you think a “real” referendum would have them pledging allegiance to Kiev? This started with a declaration of independence before Russia went in. I’m curious to hear the other opinions about this (not being snarky)
