The special master appointed to review documents federal agents seized at Donald Trump’s Florida estate has given the former president until next Friday to back up his allegation that FBI planted evidence in the search on Aug. 8.
Following the FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Trump and his lawyers have publicly insinuated on multiple occasions without providing evidence that agents had planted evidence during the search. “Planting information anyone?” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform Aug. 12.
In an filing Thursday, Senior U.S. District Judge Raymond J. Dearie of New York, the court-appointed special master, ordered the government to turn over copies of all non-classified items seized in the case to Trump's lawyers by Monday.
He then ordered Trump's team to submit a "declaration or affidavit" of any items in the inventory that were removed from Mar-a-Lago that the "Plaintiff asserts were not seized from the Premises," meaning items that were put there by someone else.
Dearie also asked Trump's lawyers to identify any items that were seized by agents but not listed in the inventory. "This submission shall be Plaintiff’s final opportunity to raise any factual dispute as to the completeness and accuracy of the Detailed Property Inventory," the judge wrote.
Both sides were ordered to appear for a status conference in the case on Oct. 6.

With DNA there are careful procedures to prove chain of custody.
If careful procedures are not also applied to chain of document custody, then the untraceable documents should not be admissible.
Point being President Trump has the Deep State, Democrats right where he needs them and he is in the CatBird seat with Public Opinion and gaining and pray he has proof of evidence planting and not just running his mouth out of anger, and rightfully so that he should be angry. Heck if it were me and I had the money people would be assuming room temperature...But that would not win the battle.
Because he was the best they could get? And if you have a shitty case, even the best judge can’t help you.

And, IMHO, this is the critical thing. Specifically, are the DOJ/FBI crooks not mentioning sensitive material seized that point to DOJ/FBI malfeasance (e.g., their involvement in the genesis, promotion and/or coverups of the many Russia-Russia-Russia hoaxes and other attempts to “get” or frame Trump)?
Why? It wouldn’t make any difference.
NBC’s narrative juxtaposes unconnected things to lead the reader to assume they are connected. NBC never actually states that the Judge ordered certain filings in response to Trump’s media comments or anything else. They just want us to read that into it.
I think the judge knows that Trumps loves to lob grenades via media, and he’s wise to provide an opportunity for Trump to put any allegations on the record. If he has no basis, he should shut up.

Of course there will be some “newly discovered” classified documents that the Justice Department can’t even tell Trump’s lawyers about and can’t show the Special Master because national security.
FBI gave two inventory lists to Trump, one after seizure, the other after processing. Trump got swindled by his attorneys again into wasting money on a loser lawsuit.

As for the Special Master, he is serving an administrative-judicial function, to go through the documents and submit a report to the presiding judge in FL.
He needs to stay in that lane and stop with the politics already. It’s starting to look like his signing off on Carter Paige’s FISA warrant may not have been the deception on the court we thought it was?

Everyone was ordered to leave while the fbi spent hours going through Trumps estate. Nobody their was allowed to inventory what was taken. How is Trump supposed to prove what was taken, or added later?

Tampering can be done and with Wray the Incompetent and Garland the Insane in charge, any illegality could be committed under their “not watching” watch.

The left did the same thing during ballot counting of the 2020 elections. It’s part of their playbook.
And despite the FBI and DOJ having Inspector General Michael Horowitz overseeing them, past history has shown us that rarely is any employee from those departments held accountable for their violations of the laws, and policies of the departments they work in. Because of that, it has only emboldened those employees to continue to violate those laws and policies because they know they won’t be held responsible. Their failure to police themselves should make anyone suspicious of their actions, even this Judge (Master).
Seems to me this is the second time the Special Master has gone outside the bounds of his purpose. As far as I understand it’s just his job to discern documents that aren’t suitable for the FBI to see/review, i.e. Lawyer/Client privilege, private health info, etc. This guy should be disqualified immediately since he doesn’t seem to understand the purpose of Special Master.
