Why should he wait until 2028? Let's ignore what happened in 2020. Pay attention to Trump's age. He will be 78 in 2024.

If DeSantis runs, he has a good chance in winning the nomination. He'll probably lose but it shouldn't stop him from running. Even if he loses, it'll set him up nicely for 2028. If he wins, he'll be like JFK, Clinton and Obama. A youthful President

Trump is in excellent health. His speeches, especially off the cuff remarks show he still has it mentally. DeSantis has all the time in the world to be a kick ass Gov. then take the brass ring in 2028.

I'm 73 and there might be exceptions but I don't think we should elect anybody over 70. At that age you never know what kind of medical problem you might experience.
