Pretty sure the SPR releases ain’t having much effect on anything. Except what’s in the storage facility.
The releases are simply flooding the supply (while emptying any strategic reserve...should be called Democrat Election Reserve).
The reduction in fuel prices has been demand. Demand for gas this summer at one point (the highest price point) was lower than during the lockdowns of 2020.
That’s why it fell. We couldn’t afford to drive as much. But, that’s their goal anyway.
