This idea of inflating property value is so silly on the face of it. None of the properties in New York are worth what people pay for it (except to the people who pay that much). Housing prices are ridiculously high but I guess to get some anti Trump headlines anything is passable for a crime.
Since the Feds cannot indict him before the election, New York will. Then the low-information booger eating moron voters will think “Well golly, Trump is a criminal. I can’t vote for him or his candidates”.

Then it’s their responsibility to have it appraised. Do your due diligence...sales and marketing cause people to buy many things not worth what is claimed. Are those criminal too?
And the lending institutions and taxing authorities had no responsibilities to evaluate the asset values presented? This just sounds ridiculous, as if Trump could put down anything he desired and the other parties just accepted it without question. There is often a back-and-forth between a borrower or taxpayer with the lender or taxing authority before an asset value is agreed upon.
