Anyone else remember the short lived “Seatbelt interlock” legislation?
It was repealed VERY quickly when the congress-critters were inconvenienced by it.
This would go the same way, lots of heavy drinkers in congress.

And will it disable the car when you are the sober designated driver too?

One more reason to only drive classic cars, and I’ve never been a drinker.

It was repealed VERY quickly when the congress-critters were inconvenienced by it.

But like every other law they pass they will exempt themselves from it. They will require every manufacturer to have an override fingerprint reader that connects to a central database with their fingerprints on it
