If you looked at that you would see that in the entire year of 2021, the last year before Putin invaded Ukraine there were 25 civilians killed in Ukraine as a result of or related to the conflict. Seven people were killed in active hostilities, which are things like shooting or shelling.
Twelve people died due to mines or trying to move unexploded ordnance.
Six people died for other reasons.
By contrast, since Putin's invasion to supposedly "protect" the Russian speaking people in that area his own soldiers have murdered dozens, perhaps hundreds of civilians. His army's shelling and bombing have killed thousands of civilians, many of them in areas with high populations of people he claims are ethnic Russians.
It is either a disgusting attempt to fool people with propaganda, or Putin and Russians really are stupid because launching an invasion to "protect" the people in the Donbass from a situation where only a couple of people a month died, mostly from handling old mines and ordnance, by destroying the cities they lived in and killing thousands of the people he was trying to "protect" is pure insanity.
14000 over 8 years. 13 yesterday.
A core pillar of Putinism is that all violence is the fault of anyone who opposes it. Those that justify Russian mass murder in Ukraine now will all happily cheer if Russia was to nuke them. Putinism’s roots and rhetoric are very Stalinist. No surprise give the Kremlin dictator of now 20+ years is KGB born and bred.
Russia claimed credible evidence of a coming genocidal onslaught on donbas. I will see what I can dig up about that.
