What a total omission of facts of the circumstance report
What we’ve come to expect from western media on anything basically but especially this conflict
For those of us here who follow:

Fairly objective war news aggregators
Russian sources which shamefully are more forthcoming than western fabrications and lies and at best facts back page two weeks late
We here learned today the following which is simply what we’ve learned right or wrong Putin intentions despite western usual refusal to report
After the big non aligned summit a few days ago where we are told China turkey and India offered no opposition
Russia intends to hold referendums in occupied Donbas next few days declaring they desire to be Russian federation
It will of course pass
Russian Duma will vote and pass of course
Then Putin will do publicity blitz and approve it
Then Russia will go to full Russian army force into conflict rather than DPR LPR Wagner Chechen Belorussian etc militias or contractors to bring this to an end
What western border they end up who knows
Broad Donbas or Donetsk Luhansk ?

No clue but I doubt it’s occupy Ukraine since the conflict has been nearly all Donbas
It’s a top down and bottom up strategy
Kremlin wants this always has since Minsk which they west spayed or ignored
Donbas separatists want more help and get it over with and we’ll see
Luhansk and Donetsk are mostly occupied with pockets of ukrop resistance
The formerly called Donbas oblasts Kherson and Kharkiv areas who knows
The Kharkiv retreat which folks can argue the nuance of contributed too I think
Anyhow no question this is coming
It’s public and if folks here bothered to read past western propaganda they would know
How it resolves who knows but it’s going to make ukrop already tenuous position harder
I hope it brings resolution and I know it’s a cliche

These referendums are irreversible politically from Russian side
Western media will go crazy
Maybe or ignore it who can say
If actual Russian army does indeed take over
Western media won’t have to change a thing
I’ve yet to see any claim Russian allies are 90% not Russian regulars

Agree, but 2014 was just used by the Neocons to get the Russians out of Ukraine, so that they could build up the Ukrainian military. The Neocons NEVER intended to carry through with the agreement, and that’s why Putin will not believe a thing the West says at this point.
Russia will achieve its goals in Ukraine, and then the fighting will be over. The only question for the Neocons is whether they’re going to start WW3 over it.
the point of the referendums is to make conscripted Russians fight in those Oblasts. As it stands now, conscripts can legally refuse to fight outside of Russia. This will solve Pootie’s manpower problem on paper, but conscripts are no substitute for well trained, motivated and spirited troops - troops of which he might have 10,000 remaining scattered in various configurations of AD and ND units.
This is sheer desperation.
