It’s one vector. You and others are too high and mighty to miss the key points. Homelessness is a bigger risk factor. Why? Homeless are turning to prostitution for survival and many probably abuse drugs too. SF has become legendary, like Los Angeles, for its homeless problem. Obviously the solution is for Silicon Valley tech workers to be compelled to house the homeless.

It started with homosexuality and spread via homosexuality. There were an estimated 400,000 infections existing at the time HIV was identified.

It wasn’t coincidence it spread like wildfire in those “tolerant” big city “gay communities”

You couldn’t be more wrong. Everything with this infection stems from reckless anal sex. It is the common, central theme.

- Men contract HIV from other men sexually.
- Women contract HIV from men who contract it from other men sexually. Men rarely contract it from women through vaginal sex. It’s a one-way vector.
- Drug users contract it in a culture saturated with sex, either men with men, or women with men who have sex with men. Regardless, the “gay” culture is awash in drug use, so it’s not surprising that it is the foundation of an outbreak in drug culture.

Again, if homosexual behavior could be curtailed significantly, or abolished ideally, HIV would be starved out of all other avenues of transmission. I’m willing to say it would be gone, except for some small, insignificant residual pockets, within 3 years.
