Hard to know what is happening when you only receive one side of the story.
The other side of the story is readily available if you wish to present it. Part of the problem with that is that both sides agree on the essentials, within a couple of days of each other.
There are “Western” and “Russian” war maps maintained online and they agree very closely. Commentary, casualty claims and “spin” vary, but facts on the ground don’t.
