John Durham wants to use internal instant messages from an FBI analyst embroiled in the Hunter Biden saga in his trial against Christopher Steele’s main dossier source, Igor Danchenko.
Danchenko, a Russian-born, U.S.-based lawyer, was charged by Durham last year with five counts tied to alleged lies he told the bureau about the Trump dossier, and he has pleaded not guilty.
His lawyers revealed Thursday some of what Durham plans to use in the October trial, including Microsoft Lync chats from a bureau analyst who interviewed the Russian national in 2017 and went on to get mixed up in the investigation into President Joe Biden’s son.
FBI supervisory intelligence analyst Brian Auten, whom whistleblowers say opened an August 2020 assessment used by the FBI to wrongly label accurate information about Hunter Biden as false, was among those who interviewed Danchenko in January 2017, and the Department of Justice's watchdog criticized him for a February 2017 intelligence memo to senior FBI officials that "failed to advise them of the inconsistencies between Steele and his Primary Sub-source."

In 2019, Brian Auten was referred by the IG for Investigation of his actions in the Get Trump Op - but Wray did nothing, but teamed him up with other agents to shut down the Joe and Hunter Biden probe.
That’s three years ago, folks! FBi left him alone to protect Joe!

I have yet to see mention of the fact that "Crossfire Hurricane" was likely chosen as the name of the inquest because Trump always played "You Can't Always Get What You Want" before his events. Petty childishness, at best.

Do you recall that the FBi said, yeah, Strzok and Page (and others) that cleared Hillary shouldn’t have been on the Investigation to Investigate her opponent, Trump.
Yet, here they are again using people that were on the Get Trump Op to protect Joe and Hunter and brother James!
So, in the aftermath, they said it was wrong, and then did it again!
Didn’t Hunter get some personalized “help” from the USSS and ATF to make his gun problem go away?

I know the idea the FBi was fooled is silly, but to highlight this guy that was one of Biden’s protectors that gets awards in closed sessions where they have to take it back after bestowing it, is sure to upset his bosses!
The FBI has been shown to be corrupt and useless. I wonder who is investigating terrorists and spies.

It’s not just the Instant Messaging they need to retrieve, it’s the transcripts and chats from the MS Teams meetings.

Further, the IG and the FBi never examined the Private Laptops and phones that Strzok and Page’s text messages clearly showed they would go to when it was to hot to say on Gov’t email and phones.
The problem with the lying to the FBI is that the FBI has to be deceived. I am pretty sure they knew Clinton’s hoax was false and they eagerly leapt on it. I think that’s the reason Sussman got off and why the Russian will probably get off too.
They should have named the op, “Cross-eyed Hurricane”.
Imagine Durham trying to understand the word "instant" in instant messages. Baffling.
