Workers from Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta are paying $75,000 to be taller, a surgeon told GQ.
The Las Vegas surgeon can lengthen patients' legs via a painful months-long process.
He breaks the thigh bones and inserts nails that are extended every day for three months.
A Las Vegas cosmetic surgeon who specializes in leg-lengthening procedures that can extend people's height by 3 to 6 inches told GQ magazine that many of his patients are tech workers.
Kevin Debiparshad founded LimbplastX Institute in 2016, and the clinic's business has boomed during the pandemic, he told GQ.
Here's how it works: The doctor breaks the patients' femurs, or thigh bones, and inserts metal nails into them that can be adjusted. The nails are extended a tiny bit every day for three months with a magnetic remote control, GQ reported.
It can take months to slowly lengthen the bones and for the legs to heal. One software engineer told GQ he spent the first three months after his surgery alone in his apartment and ordered delivery food during that time to go from 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9.
The procedure costs between $70,000 and $150,000, depending on whether the patient wants to grow 3, 4, 5, or 6 inches, GQ said.

This is fascinating, even if just your anecdotal observation. Still very valuable. Do you think men as a group, regardless of different attributes, find it more difficult that women to enter into relationships? Also, why the disparity between divorced males and divorced females in your immediate friendship circle? Men tend to cling to marriages, knowing how hard it is for them to survive as singles? What is your theory?
They should make their necks longer and see if that works.
Next thing you know people will want to change their sex organs to become the other sex!
BTW - there is another body disorder where people think that a body part, usually an arm or a leg, is not supposed to be there. Like it is from another body, or shouldn’t be there in the first place.
Obviously a mental issue, but some doctor in England(?) amputated a limb from two people before he was ordered to stop. “I find it extremely disturbing that I can not perform these important surgeries that bring so much relief and happiness to my clients.”
Concur.
One of my favorite jokes!
I will say, I didn’t find my remarks tasteless at all because it is reality, and I think you probably understand that. If the ChiComs weren’t doing this, I would never even say something like that.
But, it is what they do-they put them on ECMO (Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation) Machine, then harvest organs over time.
“I am short as well.”
I now understand you:
13 Reasons Why People Put Others Down
1. To make themselves feel better.
As backwards as it may sound, these people feel better about themselves by making others feel worse.
They will typically have low self-esteem, and their misguided way of boosting it is to take aim at another person.
Their ego will get temporary relief from its own pain by inflicting hurt upon someone else.
Of course, this relief does not last long, and so the perpetrator is always on the lookout for ways to put people down.
I don’t really trust any doctors. They are just like the rest of us other than having a piece of paper that says they are a doctor.
I used to be 5’6”, and I found out a few years ago that I was 5’4”. I shrunk.
I hate getting old….
I had to look that up.
I’m sorry I did.😦
No he didn’t.
hypergamy
the action of marrying or forming a sexual relationship with a person of a superior sociological or educational background.
Hypergamy is a historical and cross cultural norm for sound biological/reproductive reasons. And it’s not a toxic female behavior. Civilization is built on it.
So dating site chicks want Mr. 666.
The same way you are genetically male or female ..you are genetically any number of things.
You eye color..hair color..whether you will be tall or short.
