Bots are easy to spot; they copy and paste the same slogans if not the same posts in their entirety. Far more pro Putin posters do that.

Shills aren’t bots but they still have their tells. For example, they often point at media links without demonstrating any indication that they looked at other sources, or objectively scrutinized the content before coming to a conclusion on it.

Fanboys just believe anything that a specific commentator says and don’t tolerate any unpicking of it. They seek validation for their guru worship, not verification of the guru’s conclusion.

I’m not in the “trust in A Plan” camp or “trust but verify only in one direction” camp; I’m in the “prove you’re right and I’ll rethink my position” camp.

I’m currently wargaming multiple interpretations, theories and predictions on Russia-Ukraine. Surprising as it may be to you, but I’ve moved from being pro separatist but not pro Russia from 2014 to 2019 (as they were provoking Euromaidan as much if not more than the West was), to being swung round by Zelenskyy and the DPR both making solid attempts to end the conflict.

Since Zhirinovsky straight out told the Duma that Putin already had an invasion date set, and Russia clamped down so tight on domestic press freedom, I looked again objectively at ALL parties’ arguments.

Putin had his own agenda, the civilian separatists and D/LPR weren’t fully on board with it, the DPR and LPR PARAMILITARY wings were telling Putin what he wanted to hear, he ignored all other sources and arguments.

Putin had every option on the table to avoid a Special Military Operation including revocation of anti Russian language laws, Denazification and Zelenskyy giving a complete ruling out of NATO membership.

He still went ahead because Pushilin green-lit it with a bullshit, non evidenced claim that Zelenskyy was about to Invade the Donbass.

By that point i was still unsure if this was cock-up rather than conspiracy but then out came the dress uniforms, the Z symbol (half finished swastika), the conscripts illegally deployed, the Chechens, and Wagner. The rapit pivoting from one Causus Belli to another depending on who’s asking and when. The genocidal talk on State television completely contradicting the benign motives given in February.

There’s zero doubt in my mind now that Putin wasn’t led astray, this is exactly what he’s been planning to do for years. And he presents the biggest threat to peace in Europe since the breakup of Yugoslavia.

Now I’m giving the Ukes the exact same scrutiny. Yanukovych and Azarov were in on Putin’s steal and architects of their own exile, Poroshenko was a pro Nazi rat, and Z is somewhere in between.

You show me anywhere on the internet that matches this post. There won’t be, because unlike propagandists on both sides i put everything together before i reach a conclusion, i don’t set out with a theory and cherry pick the evidence that’ll fit it.

Ah, an important point, blissfully ignored by too many...

I concluded Poroshenko was corrupt, but, he came back early on to Kyiv to lead a street brigade when he could have just stayed in Poland. He prolly figures it's worth a pardon - might be right. Pretty ballsy, in any event.

Not too much to argue with in the rest of your post. However, I do think Putin's desire to eliminate Ukraine as an up and coming competitor with EU help and curbing of corruption, and lots of recently found energy resources, plays into his move.

You gonna just avoid the biolabs? The ability to launch missiles from ukraine to moscow in minutes?

Funny how America claimed the right to destroy Cuba because it MIGHT have had the ability to launch nukes at Washington but Russia cannot do the same
