“What a joke as if Russia would ever give up Crimea.”
That’s almost as absurd as the insane delusion in the late 1980s that the Soviets would ever tolerate a united Germany. Where do people come up with these ideas?
In the late 80’s the Soviet Union was nearing economic collapse and was not in any position to do anything about German reunification.
