They're still good for throwing your weight around against people who can't fight back.
If this headline is accurate we would be inundated with hours of video and hundreds of photos by mainstream news.
Forbes has really trashed their credibility on this topic.
“The northern offensive has been conducted by a relatively small force — just a handful of brigades with a few thousand soldiers each, according to a U.S. official and a Western diplomat.”
I read UA force was around 9000 and routed the RuZZian army. Once UA broke through the front lines, RuZZia had no reserves. UA crushed rear elements and they just fled.
Two days ago the BBC had a flat out confirmed 1/5 of Ukraine has been taken by the Russians.
And two days ago, per BBC, Zel said 6k.
Democracy Now and The Guardian said 1k.
6k also claimed by Zel per Zubu Brothers:
“Zelensky Says Ukraine Has Retaken 6,000 Square KM, But Army “Worried” About Defending It”
“video and hundreds of photos”
Have you been missing in action?
Tons of photos have been posted.
Just look at twitter accounts for ORYX, Ukraine Weapons Tracker, Rob Lee.
I doubt all those tanks were taken out in this offensive. They’d surely lost some before this, and there also may have been some in various stages of repair/maintenance in Izium that were recovered. But it certainly didn’t sound like there was any great tank battle.
Take your pick ‘Crips’ or ‘Bloods’ two sides of the same blood soaked coin
MAYBE someday we’ll find out the truth...but assuredly, both sides (and our government, and pretty much every government) is lying their asses off. No innocents here on the top levels, and about the only thing that the Ukrainians didn’t do was to invade another country and start a war.
6 brigades - 30K-40K Dink
No, it was ten billion tanks destroyed.
“But it certainly didn’t sound like there was any great tank battle.”
Many tanks were abandoned. RuZZians fled.
Some tanks should be obsolete but,
Ukrainian soldiers have captured a T-62. The russians are sending their troops into battle with 60 year old equipment.
I don’t doubt there was some abandonment. But I am a bit skeptical about that number.
But they came through Poland in WW2? Right?
Tanks for posting!
It’s a trick!
The Russians are sending their old junk into Ukraine so the Ukrainians will use up all their ammo and stuff on them!..............
Another very rare Russian BMO-T T-72-based APC was destroyed by Ukrainian forces in #Kharkiv Oblast; the 3rd one taken out.
This vehicle is designed to transport rocket flamethrower troops and 32 RPO-A thermobaric launchers. Only around two dozen were ever manufactured.
The war is showing that tanks are rapidly becoming untenable for defensive and occupation purposes (which they were never all that well suited for anyway) but remain dominant in the offensive role _when properly supported by infantry, air and artillery_. The Russkis seem to have forgotten that important element.
The facts on the ground speak for themselves. Kyiv stands and today Russia is back to doing the only thing it can do: bombing women and children and destroying infrastructure. Meanwhile, Ukraine smashes corrupt and incompetent Russian occupiers into little pieces with NATO weapons. This won’t end well for Russia. Guaranteed.
I asked what will strike you as plausible Kremlin spin, but you’re dodging the question.
Let’s get your thoughts in print, before the event comes to pass and Russian Telegram lights up with excuses.
Will you believe the move over the Dnepr was merely a feint?
Will you believe the retreat from Kherson is Russia tactically ‘regrouping’.
Will you believe the retreat is actually a ‘goodwill gesture’ on the part o the invader?
Or will you recognize as another in a series of retreats the Russians have undertaken since mid-March?
