I think it’s nefarious as all get out. When will the government be asking for all the hearing aid purchases? All the Florist purchases? Never. But they WILL be asking for lists of gun/ammo purchases & it will likely be on a weekly/monthly basis, not just when there’s a “suspicious” or mass shooting .... what a load of BS. They are building a gun registry ... they are very afraid of an armed populace.
BTW, I am cash only, no CC. After seeing that list of codes, if I had a card, I’d be getting rid of it.

And how many of those categories encompass an enumerated Constitutional RIGHT, which courts have ruled as incorporated to the States?
Yea, so like the REST of your purchase/transaction history it can be not only broken down and commoditized, some entity can take all the customers that have THAT code, analyze their comings and goings and either straight up steal, or seize under some ‘Rat generated pretext…
