Germany’s economy and climate minister has angrily lashed out at Angela Merkel’s party, accusing it of being responsible for “16 years of energy policy failure”.
While the ongoing gas crisis across Europe gets steadily worse, political tensions in Germany appear to be growing, with the country’s economic and climate minister, Robert Habeck, angrily lashing out at his political rivals in the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the party of former chancellor Angela Merkel.
Despite having been warned by then-President Donald Trump that relying on Russia for energy was endangering the security of both Germany and her allies, Merkel’s government presided over a green agenda-fueled shift away from domestic fossil fuel production that made the country ever more reliant on gas exports supplied by Moscow.
Now, in the wake of the Ukraine war, Germany has all but completely lost access to its supply of gas from Vladimir Putin, prompting fears that many will be unable to properly heat their homes this winter.
According to a report by Tagesschau, many have been attacking Habeck over for his own poor handling of the country’s nuclear power plants, which are still mostly due to be wound down by the end of the year.

You’re right. The media never will. People’s Energy bills will have to vindicate Trump. And they will.... Lots of people will get hit with rationing and sky high prices.
Then they’ll see the multiple clips of Trump warning the Germans over and over again and it will be impossible to deny.
Our job is to just keep hammering the point home. Trump was right. See this video clip? See these supposedly oh-so “sophisticated” people laughing when he was giving them a desperately needed warning? Those idiots and their Gaia worshiping ideology are the cause of your problems today.
As is typical for Germans, it is a triumph of ideology and idealism over reality.
The fool’s paradise is rapidly coming to an end. When people get hit with tough rationing and and business and household ruining energy prices, they Gaia Worshiping ideology will finally be rejected by the public.....only after they’ve suffered great pain though.
My understanding of the "Cognitive Dissonance" syndrome leads me to a different conclusion. People will want to look for scapegoats and the leftists will lead the way in pointing out "right-wing conspiracy people" as the ones who must be punished.
There is a good chance the public will fall for the deception too. We have plenty of historical examples to show how this works and how it turns out.
Dennis Prager says that in general, watch what Germany does, and do the opposite.

Ha ha ha said the (German) clowns when Trump blasted their dependence on Russian gas pipelines. My take is that Putin bribed lots of Kraut hack politicians to make Germany so dependent. Starting with pos Angela Merkel and pos Gerhard Schröder, who worked for Gazprom and other Russian energy giants.
Don’t despair, Germans! It’s time to worship and make sacrifices at the altar of the angry child-goddess, Greta! Yeah, that’ll do the trick!

Germany has a great knack of producing and following awful leaders — first Herr Hitler and then Frau Merkel. And yet, how I wish i was back at the Marathon refinery in Burghausen.
