Get fired or sued. Does that make sense? Does that raise the cost of health care?
I understand the doctor’s liability insurance was already the lion share of costs. Spreading liability certainly won’t lower the expense.
There will be a major shortage of Nurses in NC shortly. Suckers!
Only if the goal is to destroy healthcare.
Talk about putting someone between a rock and a hard place.
That is such a lose/lose situation for nurses, although, I have found many nurses to be more credible and use better judgment than a lot of doctors. The nurses are doing the on the ground work, so to speak, and see and know what works and doesn't. The doctors don't have that kind of connection to their patients. At least these days.
No doubt in the past they did when they were actually more involved with the day to day care of people, but since that has been delegated to nurses these days, the doctors just don't have that kind of connection.
I also found some doctors to be very condescending and skeptical when I told them something.
I remember that clearly with one doctor I had when I had my MRSA infection. He didn't believe something I told him and he asked my husband at a different time and mr. mm told him the same thing I did. He did back off after that.
