It is for this reason that the White House and NATO should make clear upfront that this will not work. They should detail the pain Russia will suffer should withdrawal be a feint ahead of tactical nuclear use against Ukrainian forces and cities.

Stupid idiots. If President Putin uses Tactical Nukes he would have to have his finger on the Strategic Nukes button at the same moment.   Over and over again the policy on both sides has always been Launch on Warning.   Not wait for you to be destroyed before you attempt to destroy him back.

It's like a journalist asking the Police Chief, "couldn't you just wing him?"

Anyone contemplating the use of nuclear air bursts need to consider wind patterns and fallout. For example from the Google page on Ukraine wind patterns:

“What are the wind patterns over Ukraine?
In the north, east, and south, the easterly and southeasterly winds prevail, in the west – northwesterly and westerly, while in the southwest – southerly and southeasterly.”

Nuclear weapons used in Ukraine’s north, east and south would usually send fallout directly east to Russia or southeasterly to Crimea. In the southwest winds go southerly and southeasterly, so again Crimea and western Russia. So the places where Russia would most likely be able to use tactical nukes, the wind would either dust Russia itself, or the Crimea which it also wants to keep. Hopefully Putin is not so suicidal that he would use nuclear bombs, or those around him are not so suicidal they would allow him to.

NO; it means their supply hubs for that part of Ukraine were captured. They had no choice. Plus that whole part of the Karkiv Oblast was lightly defended by mostly LNR forced conscripts, as most Russian regulars, AB and sfB were pulled to the Kherson region.

So when was the last time the Russians even lit off a nuke? Considering the poor condition of most of their other military equipment, do they still even work?

Religion is not a factor in this war of Putin’s.

The war is purely about Putin’s ego.

Slavs have different looks.

And many Muscowites are Slavicized Funno-Ugric people.

Race does not matter as much as culture

Nope.

First it is Majdan, not Maiden.

Secondly the Moscow aligned Russian Orthodox church and the Kyiv aligned Ukraine Orthodox church are autocephalous and have been in parallel for decades. Majdan didn’t change the numbers of adherents.

Thirdly the theology of both is the same.

This war is not about religion, it is about one man’s ego, about Putin’s ego

Russians culture, rich and varied as it is is over shadowed by the penchant for Russians to be brutal.

Russians seem to endure it all. It’s what Pasternak spoke of
in “Dr. Zhivago’’ when he stated as to why Russians endure so much brutality, oppression and privation. “We endure it’, he wrote ‘’because of our curse capacity to endure’’.
