Trump supported giving weapons to Ukraine, including MIG jets, also threatening Putin with nukes if Putin kept bringing them up as a threat to us and NATO, to not help Ukraine.

Counting your chickens before they have hatched, and beating one’s chest, is premature, idiotic at best. This war/conflict far from being over. Bet.

The US has enormous war fighting stocks of the relevant ammo and equipment, and the US has little need of it in its current strategic posture - and there is very little overlap with US needs in a China confrontation.

The US Army holds this stuff on a “land war in Asia”, 20-division deployment level. And I dont know about you, but I dont think anyone wants to do that. Its redundant.

So most of that could certainly go to Ukraine/Eastern Europe. I’m speaking if artillery and especially artillery ammo, HIMARS and MLRS system (of which there is a large overstock, as its being removed from service). Etc.

How many Russian-speaking people live in Ukraine?

WTF cares? How many German speaking people live in northern Switzerland? How many French speakers in the western areas? Being bilingual isn’t a justification for being invaded and subjugated. You’re vile for excusing Russia’s atrocities and aggression. Rot in hell, asshole.

Praise the Lord! Good can sometimes triumph over evil.

The good Lord commonly uses evil to destroy evil, exactly what we are witnessing in this Russian Ukrainian conflict.

How many Russian-speaking people live in Ukraine?

Utterly irrelevant!

How many English-speakers were hunkered down and spending the winter with General Washington in Valley Forge?

Regards,

How many Russian-speaking people live in Ukraine? I bet you don't have a clue.

How many Russian speakers living in Ukraine want to be under a Putin dictatorship? I bet you don't have a clue.

That brings tears to my eye. What a morale boost it must be for the soldiers to be greeted that way! Slava Ukraini!

I’ve owned travel maps that were harder to fold than Russia.

And tell your buddies thanks for the munitions they left for Ukraine to use.

LOL, Russians left 200 tanks, almost enough to arm a Ukrainian armored division.

Ukraine conducting a counteroffensive at Peski. All going well and then........"

That's okay. Russian 'Lend Lease' is giving Ukrainians massive quantities of armor and vehicles left behind by Russian forces in #Kharkiv.

I wish I'd saved the link; it was talking about the US military asking for $$ to ramp up production of a certain item (155 mm artillery shell, IIRC, or similar) -- from the current 14,000/month, to 36,000/month, over a course of three years.

Problem is, apparently the Ukraine's usage of this item, is already above the *higher* proposed rate.

The other issue is that Russia's goal is not conquest and holding territory -- but rather, as they have said all along, the "de-Nazification" of the Ukraine. Which means, in the words of the late Rush Limbaugh, "Kill people and break things". Mere holding of territory is not the goal: granted, one of the towns captured (Kupyansk) is an important road junction / river crossing, if I read several articles correctly last night. But by itself, this does not prevent the Russians from resupplying Izyum. And I don't think Ukraine has either the troops in reserve, nor the supply lines, to wreak havoc throughout the Russian rear. ...not to mention, Russia still seems to have its artillery. Owning a long, narrow salient does not sound to me like a very comfortable position to hold under those circumstances.

One of them is V Zelensky, who made a fortune performing with his troupe in Russia and Mongolia, and from his three-season TV show, performed mostly in Russian.

It’s not about what language one speaks. Speaking Russia as opposed to Ukrainian is a rather flimsy basis for any kind of nationalism. They’re pretty similar. These people are cousins.

Donbas? The separatist movement was concocted by Putin. The bloody overreaction to it was partly a reaction to the fake separatist movements in Crimea and Georgia.

This is how Putin does it, and Moldavia is next, should he succeed. How many Moldavians speak Russian? I bet you don’t have a clue. And the Moldavians already have a sliver of separatists on that basis, too. And they are scared sh!tless that the Moscow Circus is coming to them next. Latvians hate Russia, but there are Russo-phonic enclaves there, too.

“Counting your chickens before they have hatched, and beating one’s chest, is premature, idiotic at best.”

Thats what you putards had been doing for months! “its over” “zelensky to flee by next week” “caludron” “surronded” NAtO is finished. Ukraine is collapsing

Her is some good ones:

“Let me bring you up to speed- the Donbass is now 99 percent liberated. Pesky is fallen, Bakmut under attack.”

“Bakmut is falling, the Eastern front collapsed”

“Zelensky knows it’s over and he’s looking for an exit......even prostituting himself in front of the Chinese.... wow.....”

“End of August will be do or die for ZelenskyyIdiot and Ukraine. Bet.9 posted on 8/5/2022, 3:12:04 PM by cranked”

“In two months Ukrfaine will have surrendered unconditonally and NATO will have disbanded” (said in July)

“You’re nuts if you think Ukraine is capable of launching any effective counteroffensive.”

Must I go on?
